Norwegian Epic

October 2016 - Norwegian Epic to Transatlantic

The true way to relax on holiday

I thoroughly enjoyed this cruise because it was a perfect balance between 2 port stops and 11 sea days.  I have been on many 7-day cruises before, and they can be quite hectic with a port stop almost every day.  So if you are like me and want to actually relax for your holiday, this is the right cruise for you.  It was also excellent value!

Norwegian Jewel

November 2015 - Norwegian Jewel to Mexico

Beautiful itinerary on a newly renovated ship

The best part of this trip was the itinerary:  Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta.  I enjoyed every stop and even tried shore excursions on each, and my favourite was mountain biking in Cabo.  The entertainment was a step up from other NCL ships I have been on, but still not as good as the newest ships.  Food in specialty dining was excellent and highly recommended.  Fitness Centre activities were disappointing as some of them were cancelled for no reason.  Ship got very rocky on the last day at sea and made a lot of us queasy.  Overall, a great trip with some wonderful memories.  I would highly recommend it.

Norwegian Getaway

August 2015 - Norwegian Getaway to Caribbean - Eastern

Best cruise ever

This was the best cruise of my life for many reasons.  First and foremost, my son was chosen to be part of the Dream Quest TV show and he had the most amazing time being able to film with the film crew.  He got to do things like film a wedding underwater, interview Illusionarium cast members, and go down the water slides with a GoPro.  We will be forever grateful to NCL for making this dream come true for my son.  The new ship is stunning in every way.  The entertainment was top notch.  The specialty restaurants were impeccable.  The cruise director was very friendly, welcoming and had so much energy, talent, and character.  The port stops were just perfect and gave us just enough time to enjoy each place.  We are also grateful to the captain and his team for navigating us to avoid the hurricane in the area. By the end of the cruise, the ocean was so flat, it looked more like a lake! The Cruise Rewards/Cruise Next program is great, and the Cruise consultant was so professional, helpful and efficient. I am already booked on 5 more cruises with NCL, and I can't wait to take each one! I LOVE NCL and so does my whole family now who I am getting more of them to join.

ehabjaber's Tips

Norwegian Epic Norwegian Epic - This is a big ship and can be daunting at times; if you don't like high levels of noise most of the time, the best escape is the spa thermal suites where you can buy a pass and spend as much time in and out of there as you like.
Norwegian Breakaway Norwegian Breakaway - We particularly enjoyed eating in the restaurants as much as possible and avoided the buffet. We also loved the thermal spa.
Norwegian Jewel Norwegian Jewel - Make sure to bring warm clothes as it would get cold in lots of places inside the ship and even on the deck in the evenings.
Miami, Florida - I parked my car at Premier Cruise Parking for the week for a very reasonable cost.
Nassau, Bahamas - We went to Blue Lagoon and had a wonderful day and lunch there and spent an hour just watching the dolphins
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas - Ocean Park is a great place and allows you to Sea Trek underwater with SNUBA gear. An amazing experience. We also did Skyride which was beautiful and free wifi :-)
Norwegian Getaway Norwegian Getaway - I loved all the specialty restaurants. To get times that you want, I would recommend you book each night before going onboard as times fill up fast, especially at places like Le Bistro.
