The Norwegian Getaway was a great ship with great food, outstanding entertainment, and excellent service; however, it was one big issue that will probably cause us to choose another cruise line other than Norwegian for another cruise. The Casino is located on the seventh floor and did not contain any glass walls or doors around the Casino. On both sides of the Casino were open air atriums that went from the sixth floor to the eighth floor. All of the cigarette smoke would drift from the Casino into the two open air atriums and spread through out the ship. The environment/air quality aboard this ship was horrible. I can not understand why Norwegian would spend in excess of a billion dollars on a new ship and not care enough about its passengers to contain the cigarette smoke inside closed rooms. Many others on our cruise complained not only about the cigarette smoke from the Casino, but that non smokers did not have a place to go and gamble in a smoke free environment. Shame on Norwegian for showing so little regard for the health and welfare of its customers!
