Anthem of the Seas

May 2019 - 5 Night Bermuda (Cape Liberty Roundtrip) Cruise on Anthem of the Seas

Ship is very clean with lots to do. Food was above average. Only dined in the MDR for one lunch and one dinner and both experiences were good. The staff treated my 9 month old son like a Royal Tot. Engaging him and having him smile in every location they encountered him. And it seemed to be genuine interest in him and little kids. Guessing he reminds them of kids they have at home while they do their long ship contracts. Both Jamie’s and Wonderland were excellent, especially Wonderland. Really a must do. And let your “guide” be your guide. They bring you 90% of the menu and it’s all good. Just have an open mind! Pools never seemed overcrowded. We experienced long waits at some bars but not too often. Drinks were expensive but good. Didn’t see any shows and only about an hour of Matt Yee which we really enjoyed and wish we could have stayed longer (had to pick up our kid from the Royal Tots baby sitting). And speaking of the Royal Tots Baby sitting- it was a great thing to have the option of dropping our 9 month old off there for a few hours at night while we explored the ship and unwinded. He seemed to enjoy his time there and they treated him really well. If you have a little one I highly recommend looking into this program! Embarkation and debarkation in Bayonne was fast and efficient.

Cruise tips

Cape Liberty (Bayonne), New Jersey

Tons of porters to help with bags. Parking garage adjacent to terminal. Parking reasonable compared to NYC cruise port. Recommend using a porter when leaving too. You get to go through a much shorter customs line.
