Our first cruise was a great experience and we are glad we went with Holland America. The ship was a little smaller which we liked, but there was plenty to do, or not to do. I could do without the constant sales pitch of the jewelry and constant picture taking, but if you avoid that you will have a great time. We loved our experience and will pick HAL for our next cruise.
Cruise tips
Went to St. John, but island ferry did not leave till 11AM, wish it would have left earlier
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
Awesome beach, lots of fun, very relaxing. Wish the drink package covered the drinks there, but it did not
Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida
Lots of traffic, give yourself plenty of time to get to dock and to and from airport
Loved Pillory Beach and the Bohio Dive Club, however the beach at the dock looked excellent and right next to Margaritaville
Ship docs right near Old Town, you can walk the streets, walk to the Fort, We did Bacardi cruise and Fort excursion, Bacardi was ok, not much time at Fort, I would do it on my own next time
