Carnival Pride

July 2017 - Carnival Pride to Caribbean - Eastern

Service was hot , the ship's bathroom was not

Any vacation away where food and cleaning does not have to be handled is best for moms. Not enough clothes for the week, then use the laundry services ! Taste the samples so you can try the restaurants that you pay a little extra for. They are worth it . We have 9 people in our party.

Norwegian Escape

October 2016 - Norwegian Escape to Caribbean - Eastern

Bottled water not included

You cannot bring in a case of water anymore so now you have to purchase it. If you buy the ultimate drink package they don't include water though you are charged 70.00 a day??? Come on now....sushi is not at a buffet or ultimate dining specialty restaurant but charged a la carte??? Overall though service is impeccable and freestyle dining is better than a scheduled dining program, there are a great many amenities and the Haven suites are luxurious. There is a ropes course with a zip line and sliding tubes and free fall tubes to ride on. Adventures await in the Splash Academy for the kids camp and the entertainment was abundant in variety. Karaoke every night, trivia time with family on Star Wars, Harry Potter, and white glow dance party to groove to with a live DJ.

delphialee's Tips

Grand Turk Island - This was the best fun as you just dock off directly to port. Scuba swimming to see all the wildlife underneath. Saw so many fishes, eels, and artifacts underneath. A canon and an old anchor was there ! Kids loved it and barely got out of the water. Carfeful cause it is rocky. Buy scuba socks cause I stubbed my toes here. Green umbrellas are free to use. Margaritaville is also there with their own pool and bar area. Best way to catch up on email here.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island) - Get off early or buy the pass for quicker to the fun. Private clamshells for $30.00 goes fast here. You tender to the port. They have great jerk chicken and beans with rice. No ribs served here. They had hamburgers and hot dogs. Chickens walking around looking for food and seagulls around hovering. No excursions for us. Not much fishes here at the Cay but it was clean and clear of rocks.
Carnival Pride Carnival Pride - This a family oriented cruise with impeccable services. There are lots of activities and an adults area only for privacy. Bring your own cans (no Pepsi products) and try the taste bar to get a sampling of the other restaurants that you pay extra for. It's that good! Bring a scuba mask for the beach.
Norwegian Escape Norwegian Escape - We did excursions on our own....save money and plan your own way to the beaches.
