January 2015 - Norwegian Getaway to Caribbean - Eastern
The ship is beautiful, but the service was way off. When we first got on the ship, we tried to change the promotional package that we received (from a ship credit to a drink package). We were not able to do it less than 24 hours in advance, which is fine, but the guest services staff told us that no such package existed. None of the employees on the ship had any awareness of the promotions that Norwegian offered. Overall, none of the employees had any idea what events were going on around the ship. We learned not to ask any employees questions because no one could help. Restaurant and other services were also extremely slow. We've done other cruise lines and will probably not go back to Norwegian - though, maybe it was just this ship, which is newer. The ship itself was beautiful. Just be prepared to be patient.
