Alaska was amazing, Princess not so much
My family and I would recommend a cruise to Alaska any day. The views were majestic and no words really describe the beauty of it. We rode ATVs in Ketchican, horses in Skagway, zip lined in Juneau, and shopped in Victoria. Every excursion was a fun filled day with so many memories we will have forever! I will however, not cruise with Princess again. They bombard you to purchase alcohol when you get on board-- and while we have a glass with dinner every now and then we are not heavy drinkers. The nicest restaurants (specialty), cost extra, and after spending so much money already I was not happy with that. We were talked into a club class mini suite, and bc our kids were in another room (14,20) they couldn't eat with us if we chose club class dining. My husband is military and was told 5 times (no joke) he would receive extra onboard credit if we go to the front desk. We did --and were told we needed to fill out paperwork 2 weeks prior to embarking. What? He couldn't simply show his ID like he had been told 5 times prior. No big deal-- but with all those items combined I will not ever cruise with this line again. Oh and the majority of the staff aren't even remotely as nice as Disney or Carnival.
