February 2014 - Norwegian Getaway to Caribbean - Eastern
From the time we got to Miami International and met our representive fom Norwegian till we got back to the airport was a smooth and relaxing trip. Embarkation moved along at a reasonable pace. It was a while until the room was ready and we were tired as our plane had left Boston a 5:30 am, so we had been up since 3:am. If flying in I suggest coming the day before as you will be rested enough to enjoy the first nights party.when doing you restarant booking and entetainment ,take into account that some of the shows are dinner shows. We had been upgraed from a aft balcony to a spa mini suite taht come with spa privlidges. If you want to be able to go someplace away from the growds it is great. The Bistro was for our tastes the best restarant on board. My wife and I are both in our late sixties so we we not up for partying but did enjoy the shows. We took low key tours, and mostly just relaxed. Did make good use of the spa services, which are cheaper to use when ship in in a port.the crew is anal about sanitation, which is great. Our cabin was perfect, ecept the neaver seem to have a electrical out let near the bed, bring an exstention cord if you use a CPAP machine. Beware all the Island sale pitchs as most of the deals are not really that great. Debaracation was very smooth and not a stessfull as other cruises I have been on. always remember the they are shuffling over 4,000 passengers.
