Carnival Pride

July 2017 - Carnival Pride to Bermuda

Love Bermuda-Pride Needs Updating

Visit Bermuda but stay off the Pride until they refurb it. It's a lot of money for old and in need of work. Be sure to check out Horseshoe Bay, Hamilton-the Pickled Onion is nice and St Georges.

Carnival Magic

January 2017 - Carnival Magic to Caribbean - Eastern

Great Time but limited activities

We had a great cruise, loved St Thomas and Grand Turk. Did not think for the

size of the ship many activities were offered other than the standard money making ones.  Movies were limited and sometimes canceled, no Zumba, and why oh why replace shows with passenger games.  The ship was clean and the crew while not as friendly as other cruises they were fine.

We would go on this ship again if we liked the itinerary.

Carnival Pride

September 2016 - Carnival Pride to Bermuda

Carnival Delight

Our last Carnival cruise was a hot mess but this trip to Bermuda was very nice. Our cabin steward was exceptional, the meals were above par from our last experience and all in all the trip was relaxing and fun. We only had 1 downside that was the cruise lines fault-on the last night of our cruise our cabin ceiling developed a leak and it took 3+ hours for it to be fixed-I was uncomfortable leaving our cabin as we had a plummer and different housekeeping staff coming and going.

Freedom of the Seas

January 2016 - Freedom of the Seas to Caribbean - Eastern

Liberty of the Seas

August 2015 - Liberty of the Seas to Canada, New England, New York

Not Up to Royal Standards

We totally enjoyed our cruise and the ports of call. We did find the ship not as clean as past Royal trips and with few exceptions the staff was not friendly. Royal has always been our favorite line but our past 2 with them have not met the same standard they set in our first 4-5 sailings. Our dinners were fab as our waiter, Coco, is top of the line and his assistant Raj is equally as wonderful. Breakfast was a hot mess where ever we went-the Windjammer was overflowing every morning and additional seating had to made available and the main dining room open for breakfast was crowded beyond anyone's comfort level. The staff in the 2 eating areas on deck 5 were superb. Our cabin was nice and the steward, Junior was efficient and accommodating.

Norwegian Breakaway

June 2013 - Norwegian Breakaway to Bermuda

SO NOT WORTH THE $$$

We were so excited to be going back to Bermuda and equally excited to sail on the new Breakaway. Bermuda did not disappoint but the Breakaway sure did. From the size of our mini suite which should be named micro suite to the crew we were less then impressed. For starters our suitcases would not fit to roll between the bed and the wall. It was advertized that we would have a tub to only receive an email that we would have a large shower and no credits were given for this. I will say the shower was nice and yes it was large but anyone would expect to get what they pay for or they would think a company would make good on the issue in some fashion. To say these rooms have a balcony is somewhat misleading even by cruise standards. Our balcony was 27 sq ft and felt as cramped as it sounds. This was so frustrating as we enjoy time with our travel friends on the balcony in the evenings and this was just not possible. The crew except for our steward and 1 waiter was the worst we have experienced on any of our 7 cruises. They acted like they were doing you a favor and were not as friendly as we have normally experienced. You should also know that you can't attend a new show each night and some of the shows have a charge. We enjoy going to the shows so this was irritating as was having to make reservations for all shows. You might freestyle dine but you won't freestyle show. I could go on but with this you get this point.

cruisinisfun's Tips

Carnival Pride Carnival Pride - Be sure to check out sea day brunch and sea day afternoon tea.
Carnival Magic Carnival Magic - Pizza cafe is wonderful thin crust pizza and they will cater to requests. Walk around deck 5 if you think the sports deck is small and almost dizzy making. Don't be in a rush to get off, Carnival can't manage people moving well! Sea Day brunch is a must the pasta bar on Sea Days is also a treat.
Carnival Pride Carnival Pride - Caesar salad in main dining room excellent and the cranberry rolls are addictive. Casual attire not frowned upon even on dressy nights :)
