Carnival Victory

November 2015 - 4 Night Western Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Victory

You can do way better....

Carnival Victory is anything but... the ship was old, dirty and boring.  I have been on other Carnival cruise ships and this one was such a disappointment.  Mold everywhere. Half of the hallways smelled like sewage.  We went to browse the "art gallery" and couldn't even half enjoy it because of the awful smells. The 24 hour available pizza is more like 10 hour available, no one was ever working at the station.  I saw workers at "The Off Grill" station refilling all the buffet line food with their bare hands and refilling the food from some random supply under the counter, that was probably sitting on the floor in the boiling heat. (GROSS!) There weren't many activities available on board at all, we were walking around bored most of the at sea days.  The food wasn't even that great, so we couldn't even fill our days with mindless eating; much better on other cruises that I have been on.The pools are way too small and can only accommodate about 8 people at a time. One of the comedians was okay...but the other one was awful, not funny at all and just gave up halfway during the show. He kept asking "is everyone having a good time?", if you have to ask that, then clearly you are not funny. There also were no servers for 2 of the shows we went to. So even if we wanted to drink our way to make this guy appear to be funny, there was no chance at all.  Probably wouldn't have helped anyway, all the drinks are watered down.  Cleaning on the ship was pretty bad.  Three times I unwrapped my napkin to find a dirty fork and picked up multiple dirty dishes from the beginning of the buffet line. There were dirty glasses in our room the first day.  There are definitely way better cruise ships out there with more to offer.
