Overall a fun time! Bring lots of extra spending money!
The ship was nice and clean. The staff worked their butts off! Be prepared to have a good amount of extra spending money for the ship because alcoholic beverages average around nine dollars each. There is a 15% gratuity on all drinks/sodas you buy. The bartender said they only get half of that tip and carnival gets the rest, so we started to tip additional gratuity. You also need to pay the child watch hourly if you want to go on a date starting after 10pm. And be ready to pay $60 per person, per day for gratuity for the housekeeping and other staff. We paid $240 total.
I woundn't waste my time in the casino. I never saw anybody win or look happy. The food was great! Bring some "fat" clothes because you will walk off the ship at least ten pounds heavier lol. We took our two little boys, and they had a blast! They loved the "dive in" movies outside where they could sit in the hot tub and watch the movie. They especially loved the 24 hour, all you can eat, soft serve ice cream. They had a good time in the kids camp too when my husband and I wanted some alone time. The islands were fun. We didn't do any excursions because we would rather swim and relax. And we didn't want to feel rushed. No regrets there. The rooms were small but clean and the beds were very comfortable. On the ship, be sure to grab an intenerary everyday with entertainment onboard, because you run out of things to do on your own after about the second day. Overall a fun time!
