Celebrity Edge

September 2021 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip) Cruise on Celebrity Edge

An Exceptional Cruise

We booked this cruise as a spur of the moment decision after watching a Vlog that said it was sailing at 30% capacity. What a spectacular cruise! If you wanted a chair by the pool, you got it. You wanted one of those floating loungers, you got it. You wanted a drink, there was someone close at hand to get it for you. The crew was great. They were happy to be working again and were engaged with the passengers. It was a truly unique experience and we're glad we decided to take this cruise.

October 2016 - 10 Night Dutch Antilles Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip) Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

Always a great cruise with Celebrity. Our first time in a Concierge cabin. We did not care for the welcome aboard lunch. it was salmon or lamb - only choices, but the extra space in the cabin and the great location, we were very happy. the little extra cost - very worth it. Our favorite part of the ship is the thalossotherapy pool. Our favorite way to cap off an evening, dinner, the show and then some casino time. May sound boring to some folks, but we like the more laid back, less adrenalin driven entertainment options aboard. we save the adrenaline rush for our excursions - and Celebrity never fails to provide great options.

Cruise tips

Cozumel, Mexico

Really do not like the high pressure to buy from the vendors in the port area. Once you get into Cozumel, it's not as high pressure, but definitely still there. Enjoyed Mr. Sanchos. Beautiful beach, good food.

Only the suites have traditional balconies. All other verandas have the infinite verandas.

Castries, St. Lucia

My favorite island this trip. Spectacular scenery, very green and lush. The Pitons are absolutely beautiful. If you're going to the beach underneath them, I recommend you bring your water shoes, cos it's a bit rocky. The port itself was even beautiful with some great little shops. Locals were friendly and helpful, not pushy. Great port!

Bridgetown, Barbados

The port is in an industrial district and you will need to take a taxi or shuttle to where ever you are going. Shopping district is lined with locals hawking their services, I did not care for that. However, the night submarine excursion was pretty awesome.

St. John's, Antigua

Definitely have a plan before going into port. Save the shopping for another port and do some type of tour or activity. We did the beach on horseback. These are older horses, they don't move fast and they are pretty set in their ways. So they're perfect for inexperienced riders. If you typically ride horses, you will find this excursion boring. The beach was pretty. It cleaned up well after the hurricane.
