I'm semi-retired and own a typing business. I'm married and have 2 children and 3 granddaughters. I've been on numerous cruises. My last one was a cruise in Hawaii to different islands with my husband as we turned 60.

January 2018 - 5 Night Western Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Sensation

Enjoyable Cruise!

I thought Carnival Sensation was a nice ship. The pool was very small and mostly used by children. There was a 21+ area for sunning that had a hot tub. There was another one there but it was closed.

Enjoyable Cruise!

I thought Carnival Sensation was a nice ship. The pool was very small and mostly used by children. There was a 21+ area for sunning that had a hot tub. There was another one there but it was closed.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

We did a snorkel and Dunn's River Falls here. The snorkel wasn't very good. The coral was very close to your body as you were swimming. Dunn's River Falls was very challenging but worth it. You definitely need water shoes to do the climb.

Miami, Florida

We just stayed at the Comfort Inn Suites near the airport. They provided free transportation from the airport to the hotel and free transportation to the Port of Miami. The beds were really comfortable and they provided a free breakfast as well.

My cabin mate and I brought a 12-pack of canned soda on the ship which was allowed. I also brought a bungee cord to hold the door open to our balcony which worked out very well for sleeping to the sound of the waves.
