Honestly, I had been waiting to go on this cruise for 5 months. So, I guess to be fair, it had a lot to live up to. However, the weather was a major issue. There was a tropical weather system around the Bahamas, and I know that Carnival has the right to redirect for our safety; but Carnival decided to chase the storm around the Bahamas. There were many times when I felt for my safety. Plus, the smell of vomit in every stairwell leaves a bit to be desired; although, the crew worked around the clock to clean. The food was good. The food service people were great. My room steward, Robby, was lovely. On the top of the weather issues, Carnival cancelled our excursion, which I had no problem with, considering the weather. But I went to discuss the weather, and if the boat excursion was in fact still on, and they laughed at me and said "yes." Then, as we ready ourselves for arrival, we get a note under the door "excursion cancelled." Thanks for the 30 minute notice. Also, getting the money back for said excursion was problematic, and quite time consuming. I'm glad I brought a copy of my receipt, or I would not have gotten my money. As an final note, we were planning to book another cruise in February with Carnival while in board; however, my family will not go with me if I book Carnival again.
There were 12 of us, so it was quite a feat getting everything together! Cindy at Cruises Only helped us get it all together! We had a fun time. Getting on and off the ship was easy. The anytime dining was one of the best features of the cruise, it made it easy to eat whenever we were ready. The bar lines were long, would be my only real complaint. The kids programs and on-board activities were super. It really felt like we were on vacation! We will definitely cruise again!
