June 2014 - Carnival Fantasy to Caribbean - Bahamas
All whole bunch of little things should have been better. Any one could have been excusable, but compounded together are too much:
First, the 1 pool and hot tubs are too small: you can never do anything but stand in the water because of all the people.
The alcohol is not consistent. Two of the exact same drinks will never taste the same.
The casino rules change per dealer: some will show the burn card, others will give you time to surrender in BJ, others go too fast.
The lines were a little too long: like Carnival doesn't know that 4:45 pm EVERYDAY was a peak buffet time so enough staff wouldn't show up till 6pm.
Nothing started quite on time.
The music in the clubs and decks was just too loud: you couldn't have a conversation on the decks. Really loud music is ok for the clubs, but not the deck areas. Even in the clubs it was excessive: people would cover their ears and leave.
The food was hit or miss.
Positively, I think the boat is well decorated and the room staff great. Camp Carnival is VERY well done: it gives the kids a time to have kids only time and the staff is very professional and fun.
