Freedom of the Seas

October 2016 - Freedom of the Seas to Caribbean

Freedom of the Seas cruise

First time on Royal Caribbean in a few years.  The shows are amazing, the ship is beautiful, the food at lunch and dinner leaves much to be desired.  No map of the ship upon arrival, common areas are small and very crowded, anytime dining can only make reservations at 5:15, 5:30 or 5:45, No CNBC on TV, No descent movies on tv or in the shows,  no movies on the big screen during the day around the pool and this checking out and checking in towels around the pool was nuts.  Last day everyone was complaining because they were charged $25.00 for those tread bare towels (they obviously left them on the chase lounges and did not get credit for them, their bad).

Disney Magic

November 2015 - Disney Magic to Caribbean - Western

5 day disney magic

Loved the Disney Magic 5 day Cruise.  The balcony rooms are big on Deck 6, lots of storage, Cabin Stewart Cita was such a happy & friendly person, Food is the best on Disney (35th cruise so we know), Broadway entertainment with college  MBA stars rated best in the Industry and especially LOVED that formal night is OPTIONAL, we did not need to bring dress clothes with us! By keeping the formal clothes at home gave us more room in our luggage for Christmas gifts for the grand kids. No complaints on this cruise, it rocked.  Happy

bjszabo98's Tips

Philipsburg, St. Maarten - Loved Orient beach. Take a taxi off the ship. $7.00 pp and they bring you back, no problem.
Port Canaveral, Florida - coming in early, stay at the Homewood Suites. Beautiful new hotel with walk in shower. $5.00 pp to get to the ship in the morning.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas - Stop at Dynasty Jewelers downtown or in Haven sight. Our favorite jeweler and the only one we frequent in all of the Caribbean. He has been in the same area for decades. Very honest people.
Freedom of the Seas Freedom of the Seas - Older couples, move over to Celebrity. Not much to do on this ship for us. we missed the 50's/60's hop that other cruise lines have. They were more into the 1980's music.
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island) - they did not stop there, said waves were rough. Ok no problem, but they could of refunded us as we did pay to stop there. Other friends were on Carnival and they went to the Turks instead.
Royal Princess Royal Princess - Anytime dining was the worse from any other ship. One side was reservations only, other side you wait. No signs. Our second day we were on the wrong side. Get up to the front and Mr. Martins and his sidekick ranted and raved because we were on the wrong side, and did not have reservations.
Nassau, Bahamas - Stay on the ship. By the time you reach anything, it was time to come back.
Disney Magic Disney Magic - The kids can have soft custard ice cream all day long!!!!
