January 2015 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Miami Roundtrip) Cruise on Norwegian Epic
poor experience/bad service
We were excited for our Anniversary Cruise only to be disappointed! It started off great until it was time to eat. The restaurant service was the worst service I have ever received. The hostess taking us to our table seemed confused and always took us around the whole dining room before seating us at a table. It would then take at least 5 to 10 minutes before any waiter approached us to acknowledge we were there! We then had to wait for drinks (water & ice tea) had to literally stand up to get someone attention to get a re-fill on our drinks while eating. ugh! We never had the opportunity to eat dessert as they would take so long and we would miss our show. We were a group of two people and dinner in the main dining room would take at least 2 hours and that does not include dessert! horrible service....the shows were not great and it was also disappointing that we had to have reservations to see a show. The 4th largest ship in the world and they do not have a large common space on the ship. I guess they have tons of cabins to have more people on the ship. Unfortunately they don't have enough staff to keep all the customers satisfied. On numerous occasions we would see staff arguing with one another about what they were doing! Really, we customers do not need to know that they don't have it together. We have always cruised on Royal Caribbean and received the best service ever, so naturally we were expecting this type of service. We also heard a lot of other people complaining about their dissatisfaction of their cruised. Unless I get a cruise from NCL or someone as a gift, we do not plan on traveling on an NCL ship again! At least I would then be prepared and know what to expect POOR SERVICE.
