September 2016 - Eurodam to Europe
This was a longer than average cruise, being 24 days and the pace seemed a little hectic at times. There was a new port nearly every day with only 3 sea days.
The highlights were Venice ( two visits with overnights ) and Dubrovnik which had a midnight departure. The low point was Santorini, a beautiful island that has become a victim of its own success. There were 4 cruise ships in the bay each
unloading passengers on to the small island which quickly became overloaded and unpleasant to be in.
It was disappointing that all the scheduled stops in Turkey were cancelled, this
seemed to be an overreaction to the events in that country at the moment.
The substitution of Athens ( overnight ) and Albania didn't match up on missing out on Turkey.
