About adzurka

October 2015 will be our 6th cruise and our first on a Norwegian. We've been spoiled with Royal and Disney, not a fan of Carnival. My husband and I have a 13 year old daughter and 8 year old son. We are hoping to find a way to connect with families with children in similar age group. We will be on a 7 day cruise and I want to ensure my children have the most fun and meet other children they can share in the fun.

Cruiseline: Disney Cruise Line

Room and service disappointment

From the moment we walked on the ship, I could see it was disorganized.  We were not directed where to go, just sent in one direction on a deck.  All other cruises, we would have entered inside the ship with a great 1st impression.  The cheese/cracker and fruit platter was another disappointment and wine we pre-ordered for the room.  The crackers were saltines, chunks of orange cheddar cheese, one strawberry for 3 woman.  We were told the ship was newly reburished, the room and all other areas did NOT reflect this.  The room attendant, when asked about the ship being reburished, he said "where did that happen?  Certainly not in your room".  We made the best of our time together but was really disappointed because 2 of us had boosted about Royal for our 1st time cruiser friend.  Just to have average service, less than acceptable food and ship lower than average.

adzurka's Tips

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida - The port we left at was a more a commercial ship yard with very little direction where to go. Any help you asked for they put their hand out for a tip. nothing like the luxury of porting out for a Disney or other Royal lines
