Since making her debut in December 2017, MSC Seaside is still turning heads, thanks to a ground-breaking design and a lot of fun, new features onboard. We've rounded up the top 6 things you should experience on MSC Seaside.

1. Zip Lines

Living up to their billing as the longest zip lines at sea, MSC Seaside's dual zip lines each travel a whopping 345-feet from the mid-ship funnel to the aft of the ship; that's over 4 times as long as the zip lines on Royal Caribbean's Oasis-class ships. Brave cruisers will be rewarded with an exhilarating 25-second ride.

2. Roy Yamaguchi's Asian Market Kitchen

Asian Market Kitchen represents celebrity Chef Roy Yamaguchi's first foray into cruise ship dining. Featuring three distinct styles of dining, the trio of dining options is MSC Seaside's most notable specialty restaurant. Teppanyaki offers grilled meats and seafood at teppan-style tables. Asian Fusion presents a modern twist on traditional Asian cuisine, and the Sushi Bar serves up fresh sushi, sashimi, and tempura to hungry cruisers.

3. Atrium & Swarovski Crystal Staircases

MSC Seaside's atrium is a bright, stunning gateway to the ship. Featuring a three-deck feature video wall, a bar-top stage, and expansive windows, the atrium feels more like the lobby of a modern Las Vegas Hotel-Casino than a cruise ship. The most stunning feature, especially for first-time MSC cruisers, is the sparkling staircases made out of real Swarovski crystals. An MSC tradition, these crystal staircases, one of the most popular photo spots on the ship, reportedly cost 300,000 Euros per stairstep.

4. Bistrot La Boheme

Easily the most charming sidewalk-style cafe at sea, Bistrot La Boheme is located on the third level of MSC Seaside's atrium, perched right next to the windows. La Boheme offers a casual, a la carte menu of French small plates, entrees, and cheese boards in addition to an extensive wine and aperitif list.

5. BeerProv

BeerProv, performing six nights a week in the main Metropolitan Theater on Seaside, is MSC's first venture into improvisational comedy. The BeerProv improvisers onboard the ship hail from BeerProv's regular shows in Toronto and New York and make up songs, scenes, and characters on the spot, inspired by audience suggestions. BeerProv's name comes from the comedy troops' tradition that both audience and cast members alike are encouraged to drink beer - and lots of it - throughout the show.

6. Venchi 1878 Chocolate Bar and Gelato & Creperie

Desserts, and chocolate in particular, have gained increased exposure on cruise ships in recent years, and MSC Seaside goes all-in on the trend with the two venues created by the legendary Italian chocolatier: the Venchi 1878 Chocolate Bar features a chocolate waterfall and an open chocolate lab, while the Venchi 1878 Gelato and Creperie serves up sweet delicious treats.

I've heard so many negative reviews about the MSC Seaside. You have to pay for too many extras and also there is a horrible sewage smell throughout the ship.
