When is Crystal Serenity slated to resume operations?

Crystal Cruises officially resumed service in North America this summer sailing a series of 7-night luxury Bahamas Escapes cruises on the Crystal Serenity from Port Miami. Beginning in mid-November through mid-January, the ship will sail a range of longer routes to destinations all around the Caribbean. In January 2022, the ship will begin its 2022 World Cruise from Miami.

Crystal has developed its own set of health and safety protocols, Crystal Clean +, to safeguard all of its guests and crew. All guests cruising with the line will be required to be fully inoculated with a COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to boarding and will have to present proof before getting on the ship.

Cruising on Crystal Serenity? Here’s our guide to everything you need to know before you board.

About the Ship: Crystal Serenity is one of the two ships in the Crystal Cruises Ocean fleet. Just as everything with the Crystal Cruises brand, luxury is at the forefront of all amenities that you will find onboard the vessel. At full capacity (prior to any COVID-19 restrictions) the ship welcomed up to 900 guests, with 545 total cabins of which 85% include a private verandah. Service on Crystal Serenity is in one word - exquisite. With a passenger-to-crew ratio of 1 to 1.5, you are guaranteed that all your wishes are attended to.

Activities + Entertainment: Despite the smaller size of the ship, there’s no shortage of things to do on Crystal Serenity. Guests can enjoy world-class performances and Broadway-inspired shows in the Galaxy Lounge. Crystal Cruises is also renowned for its onboard enrichment workshops featuring thought leaders, world-class experts and lecturers. You will find these programs at the Creative Learning Institute, the Computer University@Sea, and the Library.

Looking to relax? Rejuvenate your soul in the Feng Shui-designed Crystal Spa, swing Callaway clubs at the onboard driving range, or take a dip in the Seahorse Pool. At night, visit Pulse Nightclub for dancing and cocktails, or try your luck at the Resorts World at Sea Casino. You can also mix up some fun at the Crystal Cove piano bar, Avenue Saloon, or enjoy cigars and cognac at the elegant Connoisseur Club.

Currently, Crystal is only offering Oceanview level and above cabins. You can expect to pay about $285 per person per night for this level of accommodations. While the upfront cost of the cruise is higher than mainstream cruise lines, the level of inclusions, fine dining, and unprecedented service makes sailing on Crystal a tremendous value.

Balcony cabins currently start at about $400 per person per night, and go up based on location and category. What to Expect at Embarkation & Testing Procedures

Crystal Clean + will require that every guest have their temperature checked both prior to boarding ship or venturing ashore. Guests will also be subject to temperature checks as well as will be required to submit a health questionnaire. The line will also disinfect all luggage offshore before bringing it onboard.
All guests on Bahamas Escapes sailings will undergo an antigen test the day of embarkation at the Baha Mar Convention Center. Embarkation will not begin until all guest staterooms, suites and public areas have been disinfected. Crystal is developing plans to facilitate its guests to meet the antigen test requirement for air travel back to the U.S. This testing plan may vary by ship, and guests will be responsible for the cost of the test, which may be reimbursable by insurance.

Crystal highly recommends that guests purchase their United States Customs antigen test for entry back into the U.S. through The Bahamas Health Visa. The test may be purchased at any time, including during the cruise. If a guest does not pre-purchase the test and will need Crystal to facilitate the test, the $30 test will be added to the guest’s folio. Guests who are remaining in The Bahamas for an extended period of time after the end of the cruise may also pre-purchase the test and visit any lab shoreside to take the test within three days of their return to the U.S.

Tips from Our Community Members:

You will feel treated on this cruise. The stateroom is comfortable. The restaurant options are plentiful so you'll never eat the same thing twice. - GingerandMaggie

This was our third Crystal Cruise. The all inclusive makes cruise travel much easier since you do not have to worry about daily tips or keeping track of added charges. The food was very good, and the staff was eager to please. There was a good ratio of crew to passenger. - susant323

This was our second Crystal Cruise and we wish we could go on one every year. This is the number one cruise line in my opinion. - lds2323

Port Excursions:

With so much to see and do in the ports which Crystal Serenity will visit, be sure to book shore excursions as early as possible.
