Majesty of the Seas

April 2017 - 4 Night Bahamas (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) Cruise on Majesty of the Seas

Worst experience on a cruise so far

The kids pool area is only for those 42" and taller or babies in diapers.  There is no in between. My 4 1/2 year old had to watch her siblings play instead of participating. The toddler area requires the child to wear a diaper.  You won't learn that awesome detail until you are on the ship, because it does not state anything about diapers on the website. My potty trained daughter (for the last 2 1/2 years) would not put one on because it made her feel like a baby. I can't blame her. She's only 40" tall and therefore missed the height for the extremely small slide. Food was not very good and  not kid friendly.  I'm one that likes a salty snack from time to time and there was nothing on board for us to purchase. Also, on vacations like this it is nice to splurge and have candy, but that was not even sold at the stores on the ship.  If you need extra kid clothes because of any accidents or spills, make sure you pack extra because the shops on board do not sell anything for kids.  I've been on multiple cruises, and this one was by far the worst. It claims to be a family cruise but apparently that only includes families with older kids. Atlantis was the best part for us, even though it was pricey. The slides there are twice the size of the one on the boat and my youngest one finally got to do something. I will say that the kids club was great for the kids and the adults got some time to themselves.   After this experience I will not be traveling with Royal Caribbean ever again.

Majesty of the Seas

My only tip is, don't take this ship if you are with younger children. It's not kid friendly and there are so many other ships with better options.
