This was the longest weeks of my life. From the time we landed at Tampa and had to wait about 2 hours for the transport to the ship till the end of the cruise seemed like an eternity. Anyone that was under the age of 70 was out of place and had to entertain themselves because Holland America caters to the more elderly. Swimming pools close at 7p.m., the Casino closes at midnight, bars start closing at 11p.m. and the last bar closed at 1:30a.m. The dinner buffet shuts down at 7:30, but does reopen between 11p.m. and midnight. The entertainment is typical cruise ship fare, but the disco is awful, if the D.J. spent as much time doing his job as trying to pick up woman it would have been fine. He would put on a DVD and forget about taking requests or satisfying the audience. After many complaints to the "Cruise director" he just got nastier and decided to play either 80's disco or alternative music. I wish someone would have warned me about the pitfalls of this cruise line.
