May 2014 - Carnival Liberty to Caribbean - Eastern
We loved the ports; the keys, nassau, and freeport!
I recommend renting a moped in the keys, just FYI...
So we get on the boat, get to our room which was a balcony
stateroom. It was pretty much what I thought it would be.
Now about the food/restraunts, here was our issue!
Every time we wanted to go to a certain place to eat; well
they were already closed. Example: Mongolian Wok closed while
we were at port, the taco place oddly open for breakfast
and closed again while we were at port!! Just flippin frustraiting!!
The staff, well I am sure they meant well! But, every time i turned
around to ask for help or had a question i simply had the hardest time
unstanding them (as they were foriegn).
CHECK YOUR SAIL and SIGN CARD on a daily basis!!
We decided to get a folio card (aka: a cash acct.) you juat add money as
needed. So, when i decided to check our acct. i noticed there were 2 charges
of $57.20 for my husband and I!
Come to find out the was a fee for the staff! Hmmmm how conveniently that
we were not told that!! So, this is the bottom line! We had a cash acct. and any time
you order ANYTHING the tip is automately applied, then we would tip usually a couple
of bucks on top of that, and then Carnival decides to take over a $100 bucks without saying a
word!! Well needless to say, we got our money credited back at that moment!! And they looked
at us like we were crazy!!
Unbelievable!! We loved the Islands, but will NOT be taking another cruise anytime soon!!
