Nanortalik, Greenland -
Rotterdam - There is on board self service laundry. This fact was hard to verify. Adding a Tmirid would be huge plus.
Isafjordur, Iceland - The abandoned village of Hysteri was great! The local rhubarb snackand hot tea were nice on a drizzly day. The one hour boat ride to get there was impressive.
Rotterdam, Netherlands - Staying at the Hilton Central was wonderful and reasonable the night before the cruise. To get from Schipol to the Rotterdam Central train station on an intercity express train was easy and approximately 20€.
Lerwick, Shetland Islands, Scotland - The Moussa Is. tour was fabulous.
St. John's, Newfoundland - We walked this port. Definitely see the Rooms and walk to Sigmal Hill and stop at the Canadian Forces Tattoo if you are there on a day it is done.
Boston, Massachusetts - Our excursion was visiting our son and family for a few days.
Qaqortoq, Greenland - Add excursions here. The town was very interesting. At Narsaq, add a tour to ththe Viking ruins.
Akureyri, Iceland - Quaint town. The Best of the North was a gear way to see the northern part of the island.
Bergen, Norway - Using the Bergen one day card gave us several discounts at museums, the funicular, free transportation on busses and trains, free entry to the Fanthof Stabe Kirche. Have it mailed to your house before departure. The .Starbucks at the end of the cruise pier has freeinternet and free bathrooms.
Halifax, Nova Scotia - We did the Luneberg tour and had time to also do some shopping.
Reykjavik, Iceland - The Blue Lagoon with a stop at the geothermal powerplant are not to be missed. The
Grand Circle tour as very nice.
