February 2017 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Ft. Lauderdale Roundtrip) Cruise on Harmony of the Seas
Western Caribbean on Harmony
It was a very enjoyable cruise for being a full ship with over 6000 people. They did an excellent job getting people on the ship. It didn't take more than 10 minutes. What was new for us was they didn't issue you a sea pass card at check in. One key was in the door and the other was in the room. Also, you can get a wrist band that holds your info as well. Great for being at the pool or slides. You can get a drink and not have to worry about the card.
The ship is very nice and gives a lot of options for dining. We did Chops Grille one night. The steaks were excellent as was the service. Also, we did Sabor Mexican restaurant for lunch. We had barbaquo and pork carnita tacos. There is an extra charge but so worth it.
Cant say too much about the ports. We've been to all of them so many times we only got off e ship briefly. It was nice though because you could really enjoy he ship while everyone else was in port.
June 2016 - 12 Night British Isles (London Roundtrip) Cruise on Caribbean Princess
British Isle cruise June 25, 2016
We've been back a few weeks now so I finally had to sit and right this review. I had read others prior to this cruise so I hope mine can help as well.
We flew in and stayed overnight in London before the cruise. From Heathrow we arranged for a car to a down town hotel through British Airport Transfers. I would holy recommend. They were waiting for us, a nice clean car and friendly driver. Four of us with luggage was 66 pounds. Not too bad. To get to the ship he next day we used Blackberry Cars. They we ok. It takes about 2 hrs from London to Southampton.
Boarding was was a breeze. Probably the quickest we've gotten on a ship and we've done numerous. We were able to get to our cabin right away and take care of a few things.
Service on on this ship was outstanding. Everyone we dealt with were friendly, helpful and pleasant. Something new to us on Princess is you no longer have to sign for drinks. Makes service faster as bartenders/waiters don't have to wIt for signatures and I don't end up with a bunch of needless paper.
We we did the anytime dining and always had great service and food. They did seem to repeat some items on the menu but the food was good. There were 4 of us and never had an issue getting seated. Without reservations you may share a table with other people but we didn't mind it on occasions. If we made reservations in the morning then it was just us.
Left ft some tips in he excursion area which I hope helps others looking for inns to do in port.
On on our departure we booked with LondonXAirport from the ride back to the airport. Again much cheaper than the Princess shuttle. Four of us with luggage was 97 pounds.
September 2015 - 9 Night Canada & New England (Cape Liberty Roundtrip) Cruise on Liberty of the Seas
I've been on many cruises but first time to New England/Canada and it was worth it. The weather was perfect except the last two days. We hit storms and it was a little rough but it didn't slow anything or anyone down. It was an older crowd but still a fun group.
The Liberty of the Sea is not a new ship but is beautiful none the less. Plenty of things to do and as with most cruises plenty to eat! The Promanade Cafe served excellent sandwiches and salads which they changed almost daily. Also Sorrento which had pizzas and calzones. They had some very different pizzas which I'm a fan of.
We had a mini suite which is also worth it. Large enough that you are not tripping over each other and a sofa and chair for sitting other than on the bed. The balcony was big enough to have 2 chairs, a small table and a lounge chair. The closet was big enough that you could walk in. It easily held all our clothes and we could put our suitcases in there without having to stuff them under the bed.
Bar Harbor Maine was beautiful and Arcadia Park is a must. We did a guided bike ride which was a little strenuous but the scenery was gorgeous. Fall is a great time for is trip and I would highly recommend it if it's something you have considered.
October 2014 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip) Cruise on Navigator of the Seas
This was our first time out of Galvestion Tx. Getting to and on the ship was a breeze. There were lines but they moved pretty good. I will say though we had a suite so we were able to by pass some wait but people we met on the pier we saw on board shortly after so it didn't take them long either.
Service was was great all the way around. We did have a few days at sea where the weather wasn't the best but we made the most of it. Sitting in the hot tub on those days the bar service was still great
in Belize we did the cave tubing. That was a good excursion. Got to see quite a bit of the island by bus as it was taking us to the location. We were also served a normal Belize lunch. Food was good and people very friendly. The tubing was beautiful and the caves amazing. It's not too strenuous so I would recommend it if you want something other than your typical tour.
Cozumel, which we have been to many times, we did the tourist this and went to the Tequila tasting. They were trying to sell you a little but it was informative and the lunch served was good.
Getting off off the ship was a whole other matter. We did the early walk off thinking it would be easy. The ship was slightly disorganized in getting people to the right area and after about a half hour of standing around the line started to move. Well, we thought we were good as we had a car waiting us to take us to the airport. It took us another hour and ten minutes in line to get out. That was the only bad part of the trip. Not sure if it was RC or the folks at the port but they need to work on it.
July 2013 - 11 Night Scandinavia & Russia (Copenhagen roundtrip) Cruise on Emerald Princess
Emerald Princess cruise July 17, 2013
I have been on many cruises and would rate this one at the top. Service was excellent from first getting on the ship right down to getting off. All the ports agave a good sampling of the different countries, none of which I had been to before.
We had two days in Russia and I would have been happier to have one long day there and more time in Finland and Sweden. You must take an excursion to get off the ship of buy a visa in advance so it did limit you while being in port for 2 full days. .

If there is a show you really want to see, book it in advance. Friends couldn't get in to some when they tried on board. If you have a few beverages I would say get the drink package. RC raised their drink prices. A domestic beer was 7.25 and average mixed 9.95.
Did a walking tour through Princess. It was pretty good. Went through Edinburgh Castle and a walk of the royal mile. Some on the streets but our guide took us off he beaten path as well. Only disappointed was no time for shopping and I'm not a big shopper. There was a person running a private shuttle but we didn't have the information wi us to get it back to the ship.
We did a hop on hop off tour. You can get the train into Glasgow very easy. We waited until about 930 to go so it was off hours for he train. Round trip tickets for two were 13 pounds. The train takes you to the Central Station which is 2 blocks from Buchanan street. This is the main area closed to vehicle traffic and all pedestrian. Shops, pubs and cafes.
We did a bike trip with Belfast City Bikes. It was a small group and we got to see so much more that you do on a regular tour. It's a very flat area so the right was easy. We went in town, residential neighborhoods and parks. If your a little adventurous I would recommend. Princess also runs a shuttle so when we finished the bike ride we hung out and caught the shuttle back.
Dublin was nice but like many large cities. If you do the Guieness tour it's really a self tour with a lot of videos. It's 7 floors of info. Not from from there is the Brazen Head Pub. The oldest in Ireland from 1189. Friendly staff, good beer and food looked good.
I had to see the Blarney castle so I booked a trip through eCoach. Many reviews people complain about the long lines and crowds at the castle however this group takes you to the castle first. We had a mini album line to get to the top of the castle. By time we were leaving the lines were crazy. We got to go to Kinsale, a quaint little town and a few other stops. This tour was a 1/3 of the cost he Princess charges for the same thing. I highly recommend this tour and company.
Be prepared for the weather. We watched the temps for a few weeks before leaving but we hit a bad stretch of weather. Some days it didn't get out of the 50s even though the week before it was the upper 60s. It rained in many ports. Make sure you have a rain jacket or an umbrella, just in case.
