Just returned from Pacific Island cruise o. The Sun Princess, 16th February. Due to sanitising, the ship as unable to embark until after 9pm. We were very pleased with the new 'luxury' bed and slept well. So disappointed though to discover that our favourite pizza restaurant has been replaced by Share, an expensive charcuterie.the decor is (to us) unattractive. We never saw anyone dining there, nor in the Kai Seafood restaurant, which also has a cover charge. On the other hand, the Sterling Steakhouse has an improved menu and is good value for the $29 cover charge. New ZealNd Ice Cream bar has replaced the free soft serve ice creamery and charges $5 per scoop. Horizon Court has lost its lovely tropical decor in favour of practical mud-brown vinyl furnishings and is also unattractive. However, there is now a 24/7 International cafe where one can obtain sandwiches, cakes, and soup, and there is also a bar. This became a favourite meeting place for lunch. I think we will look elsewhere for our next cruise. Pat
