100% disabled veteran business owner from the Fort Worth area. Frequent cruiser on Carnival. My favorite ship is the Vista.

September 2019 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Vista

Fantastic Experience! We’ll Be Back Soon!

The Vista left on a Saturday with two days at sea, then stopped in Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, with another day at sea before returning back to Galveston.

April 2019 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Vista

Unforgettable Experience! Carnival Vista is Now Our Favorite Ship!

What a great experience! From the check in process to the ports, everything was incredibly smooth. They have getting 4,000 people onto a ship seem like a simple process. The food was great, activities a plenty, and great shopping deals on board. The entertainment seemed a little on the amateur side, but still wasn’t bad. It’s now our favorite ship to sail on!

February 2018 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Freedom

Decent Cruise, But Lacking In Some Areas

This was our first cruise with Carnival. We had previously always gone with RCL. It was definitely an older ship with few amenities compared to other ships we’ve experienced. The food was pretty good and the service was exceptional.

Dream Trip!

The Vista departed out of Galveston en route to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel with three days at sea. We enjoyed the Vista, but did not particularly enjoy the ports as much as Belize and Honduras.

Cruise tips

Carnival Vista

Carnival Vista

Don’t Miss Guy’s Burger Joint!

George Town, Grand Cayman

Overpriced version of Cozumel with a variety of chain retail stores. We found very few local handcrafted type markets and shops.

Cozumel, Mexico

This is where you want to do your shopping. Dirt cheap prices and beautiful beaches

Carnival Freedom

Make your expectations realistic. It is a fine cruise and the staff are incredible, however it is a much older ship and even though it has gone through a renovation, it lacks a lot of the design elements and amenities that the newer ships have.

Make sure you don’t miss the Sail Away Party as the ship leaves Galveston!

Cozumel, Mexico

I highly recommend the Dolphinaris dolphin experience! We got to swim with the dolphins, had snorkeling, paddle boards, beach access, and all you can eat buffet included.
