On the 1st day we were there I had to cancel my tours that were planned due to my ailment. My girlfriend took 2 tours on her own. The second day we took the Cathedral of spilled blood and River cruise which, although interesting, once again not enough time to take in all the information and sights. For the prices that one has to pay, maybe they should supply you with a memory stick filled with information and photographs to take home as a souvenir. Its impossible to manage it all oneself.
No excursions, just a walk around town
We stayed close to the port and walked around Nynashamn. A cute little town within easy walking distance.
We did not fancy the long trip to Berlin, appx 3hrs there and 3hrs back. I can get to Berlin from my home in Opava in almost the same time
My girlfriend went there on her own. I could not as I was in the Medical Centre with probable food poisoning.
We stayed there for 3 nights prior to the cruise. Beautifull city with absolutely loads to see and do. We purchased a 48hr pass for the Trains, Metro and Subway. Really easy to get around
If you are a bit of a drinker, then hopefully have a drinks package because the prices without are extortionate and unnecessarily so in my opinion
The tipping subject can sometimes be a bit of an issue, but I tend to budget a little extra and use quite a lot of "Quiet but folded paper" handshakes. In the bars it always got me quick service, even if there was a queue. Also helped with super service from the room stewards
Absolutely stunning scenery, No excursion as such but after conducting some research on line, we planned and hired mountain bikes. If you stay close to the major inlet there are hardly any hills to climb up making this suitable for any age or capability. We rode to Bogorodicin hram in the morning and explored some little known churches and so on. In a local pub we found you could have a glass of wine, two beers and two slivovices (local fire water) all for 3€. In the afternoon we biked to the other side of the inlet but unfortunately the church that we wanted to visit was closed
We stayed in an Airbnb apartment for three days prior to boarding. Explored Venice as much as we could given the time limit. Absolutely beautifull city but WAY TO CROWDED
We did not take any excursion here in this port and just took a walk around town. Not an interesting port at all for us
The volcano tour and being able to swim in the warm waters made this visit well worth the time and the money. A must see
