My family and I have been on several cruises over the 10 years. As a father of 4 my oldest daughter is 21, 15 years old twin boys, and an 8 year old girl we look for family friendly vacations that has something for everyone. In my wife’s and my opinion after our last two Carnival cruises they are the worst of all for family vacations. The staff on board the Carnival Fantasy and Sensation was not only rude they appeared to be unhappy and completely incompetent. Embarking and Disembarking is a hassle, they lost some of our clothes when we had them wash them. Both ships were overrun with vulgar drunks. On one of the ships it was overbooked and did not have enough cabins for everyone. The Carnival Fantasy was in disrepair and several of the elevators did not work and internet services were unreliable, and the food was the worst we have ever had at sea. When I wrote Carnival about the issues we experienced onboard the Carnival Fantasy I received a letter back from them that basically said tough we have your money and we are not going to do anything to make it up to you. Now that you know who we think is the worst for a family vacation it is time to talk about the best cruise line in our opinion. For a clean family fun cruise with average cruise ship food, on a ship that is in good working order, staff that knows what customer service means, and goes out of their way to make everyone onboard feel special. The Disney Cruise Line puts all of the other to shame. They have Embarkation and Debarkation down to an art and both moves flawlessly.
