The trip overall was very good. However, the embarkation could have been handled much much better. Standing in line for hours to get aboard was exhausting especially for my wife who has trouble walking and standing for long periods of time. Restroom accomodations while in line were poor at best or non-existant outside the terminal. I also understand that we missed out on a lobster dinner on Sunday night. We didn't get to our cabin until after 10:00 PM. Missed all meals on Sunday. There was no makeup night. The drinks on board seemed pricey compared to other cruises we've been on. The communications about the delays were excellent. I kept getting emails, texts, and phone calls not only on my cell phone but also at home, all morning and afternoon. The boarding process was another story. There were issues during the week with our cabin toilet not flushing. However, they were attended to quickly. Our cabin steward did an outstanding job throughout the cruise. When we went to the front desk to get our statement and asked for an adjustment to the bill for the Sunday fiasco, he replied that we had to contact the NCL headquarters to get any adjustment. However, another agent gave us a form to fill out to get the adjustment without any hesitation. Why the difference? We enjoyed the shore excursions that we signed up for. However, we learned that if we arranged for excursions not throught NCL, we were out of luck if we couldn't participate because the ship arrived late in port. Food and service was very good. Overall a good trip except for the embarkation process.
