I have been married for years. We have children and we love to cruise. We prefer to cruise as we think it is a great way to get to see all the different islands.

Carnival Fascination

March 2020 - 7 Night Southern Caribbean (San Juan Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Fascination

Southern Caribbean Carnival Fascination

Taking a cruise during a pandemic is definitely challenging but The Carnival Fascination crew did an excellent job of making the cruise best it could be! The ports are also amazing! I would recommend this cruise to everyone!

Enchantment of the Seas

October 2018 - 3 Night Bahamas (Port Canaveral Roundtrip) Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas

This was our first time on a Royal Caribbean ship. We were very excited to experience another cruise line but we were very disappointed. The ship is a very small ship but very nice! We felt that Carnival seems to have a much more personal feeling. We have never been on a cruise and not know who our cruise director was but on this cruise I can’t tell you who the cruise director was. This was a 60th birthday cruise for my mom. Upon us entering the ship my mom got overwhelmed and began to cry and instead of the staff allowing us to have this special moment with her, the crew immediately tried to sell us on extras. I get that it’s their job but they obviously seen her having a moment and they could have given us some space. I guess to sum it up, I think royal Caribbean is a cruise line that is geared toward an older crowd. I will definitely give the cruise line another try but I was just a little disappointed with this cruise.

Carnival Miracle

June 2018 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Tampa Roundtrip) Cruise on Carnival Miracle

The Miracle is an older ship definitely but we had a great time on it. It does vibrate but it didn’t disrupt our fun. The staff was overall fun. We spent a lot of time in the Red Frog Lounge or the Sky Box sports bar. Titus the waiter in the Red Frog was awesome and the main bartender in the Skybox was fantastic! Frankie the cruise director and Andy who worked with Frankie were both great!

Cruise tips

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

St. Maarten is beautiful! They have a nice shopping area and beach close to the port. The only bad thing I will say is we had 3 locals literally fighting over selling us chairs for the day. Someone from our group had to step in and referee them. It was crazy!

Bridgetown, Barbados

We were suppose to do a catamaran and sea turtle encounter excursion but it got cancelled due to Jelly Fish in the area. We did find someone who took us out to another spot for an hour and we seen some sea turtles and even a stingray! Several people in our group did get stung by baby jellies unfortunately. After that we found a local beach and just chilled out for the remainder of the day. Our ship was in port till 9:00 pm so we went back into town for the street fest! I highly recommend going if you get the chance! It was a lot of fun!

Castries, St. Lucia

Our ship actually went to Dominica instead of St. Lucia. We were very disappointed at first but then did an amazing Carnival tour that we got to swim between two mountains to see a waterfall and then sat in some natural hot mineral springs! Our tour guide told us about the history of the island and the culture they have. It was amazing! I highly recommend a visit to this island! It was breathtaking!

Basseterre, St. Kitts

We went to Cockleshell beach. It is a beautiful beach but a little missy and rocky. We got massages on the beach for 35.00/40 min. It was very peaceful and relaxing!

Carnival Fascination

Carnival Fascination

Get a room in the middle of the ship and as low as you can if you get motion sickness.

Nassau, Bahamas

While we were in Nassau we did the Segway tour on blue island. I have done Segway tours on other islands and really enjoyed them; however, this one wasn’t very good. I wouldn’t recommend it. We got back to Nassau thinking we would do some shopping before we headed back to the ship but we weren’t able to because all the shops were closing at 5. We were able to go to one store and that was it. Very disappointed.

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

Absolutely loved the island! It was the perfect place to just enjoy the sunshine! We did do a snorkel and rum excursion and it was fantastic! The crew actually was showing us several sea creatures! They were great! After we snorkeled they took us to a really fun sandbar for some rum punch and floating! It was the best excursion we did!

George Town, Grand Cayman

I was very disappointed with Grand Cayman. Our excursion was the wave runner and snorkel tour through Carnival. The main guy was rude and extremely unfriendly! They didn’t give us too many instructions on how to ride them (which is harder than you think). It ended up with 2 of us not being able to ride. The snorkeling was terrible. Only one kind of fish. Nothing else. For 115.00 a person I expected more.

Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

Highly recommend going to Little French Key! It isn’t offered by the cruise line but I made the reservation through their website. It was pretty quiet when we were there and our family had a great time!

Cozumel, Mexico

We went to Mr. Sancho’s. We had a great time. The staff was fun and brought our drinks pretty quickly; however, when it came to our food, it took forever.
