February 2019 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip) Cruise on Liberty of the Seas

Amazing Adventure!

We had a blast! Will be doing another cruise in the future. The staff, the ship, the excursions, the shows, everything was top quality. The best part was how friendly and open the staff was, including us a birthday surprise for another guest, etc.

Cruise Tips

Galveston, Texas

We didn't do anything in this port. The rating is for Moody Gardens Resort where we stayed the night before the cruise, valet parked our car and took the shuttle to and from the port.

George Town, Grand Cayman

We did the Pedro St. James and Turtle Center tour. Pedro St. James has some very interesting history/culture and beautiful views. At the turtle center we got to snorkel with the turtles! We had a blast!

Cozumel, Mexico

We planned a beach day at Playa Mia and enjoyed it, but it rained most of the time. Nothing that could be done about that. Playa Mia would be a fun place to visit on a nice day and the people were friendly and helpful. We didn't do the buffet, but chose from their restaurant menu and had a very good meal at a very good price.

Falmouth, Jamaica

We did the Go Native Jamaica tour. We were able to see the real Jamaica. Our tour guide was exceptional and we got see a church, a school where we got to meet the kids and they sang for us, and then had a real Jamaican meal on a hilltop farm. Delicious!

If money/time is limited spend it doing the things you couldn't do anywhere else.

Falmouth, Jamaica

We did the Go Native Jamaica tour. I can't praise it enough. Amazing tour guide, Tamara. She not only provided very interesting background on the history and culture but taught us some Jamaican phrases and even sang a Bob Marley song. We were completely safe with her. Visited a church, a local school where the kids sang, had a delicious lunch on a hilltop farm. Shopped at a place that supports the school. So well worth it!

George Town, Grand Cayman

Had a fabulous day! Pedro St. James and the turtle farm. Lots of interesting history followed by a brief lecture about the turtle farm and then snorkeling with the turtles. We had a blast!

Cozumel, Mexico

Went to Playa Mia to enjoy the beach and swim. Some people did go swimming; we spent the day running from the rain and shopping. Nice place, good food (we did not do the buffet), pleasant workers.
