For it being their brand new ship, they really crammed stuff on it...plus long lines at buffet, etc. Good luck finding a chair to lay out in after 10am...

Just got off the Sunshine after an 8 day exotic cruise of the Caribbean and after this cruise marked #5 with Carnival, I’d say I wasn’t as pleased with the service, mainly having to do with all aspects of dining. I understand it’s vacation and there shouldn’t be any complaints but my husband and I had the following: 1: Milk in date being spoiled as my husband got 2 of the cartons from the Buffett area and they were so spoiled that it was cottage cheese consistency. 2: Instances of not being able to find a table at breakfast time due to them being covered in dishes, etc, from the previous cruisers that had eaten. 3: Out of an 8 day cruise, we got 3 ice cream cones, a piece, due to the ice cream machine being broken a majority of time, especially in the evening and the surrounding area of the ice cream cones smelled like ASS!! 4: In the Sunrise dining room, our table was literally in a corner, out of sight out of mind, with a view of a wall and exit door leading to a stairwell...yes, we could have asked to be moved but were extremely not pleased with the attitudes of the wait staff or food. While in the dining room, we arrived approximately 15 minutes early and were basically told we were in the way; however, on previous carnival cruises, we were immediately waited on. Our dining time was at 8:15pm and we waited 45 minutes on the last formal night of the cruise for our appetizer...when we asked what the hold up was, we got ZERO explanation. Other than the dining aspects, we had a great time...it does get extremely cramped around the cantina and burger joint especially at peak times and when cruisers arrive back from ports. We are avid Carnival fans and understand that no one is perfect and we absolutely plan on continuing our cruising experiences with Carnival in the future.
