This was our second time on a Carnival cruise. The first one we LOVED! This experience was not what we had hoped for. The food was mediocre, the shows were limited and from what we saw, they lacked refinement. Dancers looked a bit out of shape and not exactly in tune with each other. Multiple mistakes during the \"we love America\" show. Comedy club host looked sloppy and unprofessional. The first comedian relied on the guests to provide him with material which was fine for the first few minutes - not the entire act. The second comedian was better. There were rowdy guests located on the same floor as us and they were loud and rowdy quite often. Not one state room attendant in ear shot during these times but certainly everywhere in sight when things were quiet. We asked the rowdy guest to please not shout down the hall repeatedly only to find ourselves the recipients of crank calls in the middle of the night. The caller claimed to be the ship's captain and cursed at me for my husband's foul mouth. We reported this to the desk and they could have cared less. No apology, no follow-up, no \"let's send someone down to their room and perhaps keep eye on who's coming and going\". Absolutely nothing. Our last cruise was with Royal Caribbean and based on this experience, our next cruise might very well be on Royal Caribbean. Also, ice cream/frozen yogurt machines did not work properly and the pools were extremely hot - not at all refreshing.
