December 2013 - Carnival Pride to Caribbean - Bahamas
This is just a mid (not big, not small) ship. It is easy to go from 1 end to the other.
The food is above average. The pizza (available 24 hours) is very good, thin crust, so pretty crunchy (the european style).
Out of the 7 nights cruising, we have dancing shows 4 nights, one night we had illusionist Bobby Borgia who is truly amazing. Not your regular magician. Another night we had the Love & Marriage show, directed by the Cruise director Craig Johnson. And it was very funny. The last night, there was no show. The Dancers are excellent, very graceful and powerful, The choreography is beautiful.
The only complain is that there is no ballroom dancing on this ship, no ballroom classes, no dancing floor. There is a night club which opens very late at night.
The Captain's Night is very, very lame. We looked and looked, but did not see the Captain at all. Also, they did not offer any hors-d'oeuvre or amuse-bouche at all! Not that we need any food, but that would make it a little more special. And, also because we were used to this special treatment from the other cruise lines. So we are a little disappointed here.
