Carnival Inspiration

Six of us boarded the Inspiration on Dec. 9 2001. Embarkation went smooth. We arrived at the docks at noon, lines were not bad. The weather was great once we left New Orleans. The last port of call was Cozumel. Five hours after we left Cozumel, the ship turned around and headed back for Cozumel because of a medical emergency. About 10pm a announcement was made about the change of plans. The following day, a day at sea, which was Saturday, and we were to be in New Orleans on Sunday morning, The personal started calling floors one at a time to change all our airline tickets, weather we had booked our air line tickets with Carnival or seperately. Then they booked motels for all of us in downtown New Orleans. We stayed at the Sheraton on the 35th floor. One room for us and one room for our kids, even though on the cruise we all shared a room. Then they gave us each $30. food voucher for any restaurant at the Sheraton. So needless to say we spent a great nite in New Orleans before returning home. Monday morning , we headed down to the lobby at 5:30 to catch a cab to the airport, but needless to say, carnival had a nice bus waiting outside to start taking passengers to the airport, free of charge. This was our 11 cruise, and never before had a company went so far out of their way to take care of all of us. We will book with Carnival again.
