Independence of the Seas

September 2021 - 4 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip) Cruise on Independence of the Seas

Liberty of the Seas

March 2020 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip) Cruise on Liberty of the Seas

Kid's first cruise

We planned this cruise for just my husband and I and added our children last minute. We are so glad we did. We loved seeing the cruise through the eyes of our children and would have been bored without them. That being said, this was by no means a boring ship. This was just the second time we'd been on Liberty and the activities and entertainment hadn't changed since the last time we'd sailed on her. Overall, a great experience for our whole family!

Liberty of the Seas

June 2018 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip) Cruise on Liberty of the Seas

Amazing vacation! We took this cruise as a celebration of our 10-yr wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed! Booked our next cruise on this same ship. What an amazing adventure!

Vision of the Seas

June 2008 - 7 Night Mexican Riviera (Los Angeles roundtrip) Cruise on Vision of the Seas

Very similar to Rhapsody of the Seas. Went as a graduation trip for my little sister. Enjoyed all the excursions and the atmosphere. I feel smaller ships are better for first time cruisers.

Rhapsody of the Seas

July 2005 - 7 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston roundtrip) Cruise on Rhapsody of the Seas

This was my first cruise and my family had a blast! Got us all hooked on cruising! My favorite part was sitting on the deck watching the ship sail through the ocean.

Cruise tips

Cozumel, Mexico

I gave this a 4, however the vendors in the port have always been a little pushy.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

The port area was much too small to accommodate the number of ships and the amount of people that were there; although, it does look like they were trying to expand it as there was quite a bit of construction going on.

Deck 4 is the best place to watch when you pull away from and into a port.

Cozumel, Mexico

Very pushy, but "no thank you" is all you have to say. Don't ask the people outside where a certain place is. They will just show you to their shop and try to get you to buy what they have instead.

Go to the pool deck the first day and check out 2 pool towels to take back to your room. Use these in your bathroom instead of the smaller towels. Return them and get more when you need fresh ones.

Don't expect the same level of entertainment as you get on a larger class ship. Obviously a smaller ship will not have as much to do. On that note, this was a great ship for someone who has never cruised before. Also, the main thing about the cruise that sticks out in my mind is the air conditioning. I FROZE anytime I was at dinner or at a show. I will bring a blanket for shows and probably dress warmer for dinners.
