I bought two vouchers from last year cruise with Carnival, I paid $100 and get $200 onboard credit, sounds good right? I bought two for my two cabins (one each). this year, I tried to use my vouchers at the time of booking, and was told by Carnival rep (direct from 800 carnival) that I cannot apply the vouchers toward the payment to my cruise but i can bring the vouchers to the ship and the ship will apply credit to my on board account . I came to service desk the next day and was told the manager was not in and he will call my cabin with an answer. He didnt. the next day, we came back again demand an answer and was told by a lady at the desk that \" I am sorry, I dont see any notes on your account in the system and I cannot help you\" we were upset and asked for manager and of course the manager is not there, she than told me nothing she can do but suggested that we wait till we get home and call 800 carnival and talk to guests care depart and she assured my that they will be taken care of. I called 800-carnival just i was told, and again, the guests care told me the Conquest should have taking care of during the cruise time and that now is too late, all she can do is offer me $100 (my money) with out any credit back to me. Why would I even bother to purchased the vouchers had i know all i get is my money back ??? dont make no sense. I feel this is a ripped off from Carnival and I would like to warn everybody dont fall for this , do not purchase future cruise voucher with Carnival , you wont get back what they promised you and all you get is headaches and upset. NCL and Royal dont treat customers like this.. they are more upscale and handles all complaint right from the first time. I am done with Carnival. We took total of 14 cruises for past 8n years with all cruise lines . and Carnival is a lame.
