This was our first cruise, and it was quite an experience. I would highly recommend spending the extra cash for a cabin with a balcony. If you like to drink, plan to spend an extra $75 to $100 per day (charged to your Sign and Sail cards). It can become very expensive after 7 days.The ship was big. It took us nearly the week to learn the ship. If you have trouble walking, I would advise staying away from cruises. It's tough to walk on board the ship when it's rough seas, even for those who don't have problems walking.Show and Activity Rating: 3 StarsThere were a many different activities and shows on board the Triumph, but if you're not a "night owl," plan to miss out on some of the entertainment. They offered an Adult Only Comedy show, but only at midnight. We realize it was to keep the kids away, but they could have offered an earlier show with someone standing at the door, monitoring who could attend the show. Food Rating: 2 StarsFood on the Triumph was definitely over rated. Since they have to feed two to three thousand guests, it's tough to offer many varities of foods. You see the same foods on the buffet every day, and though they may add something different. For formal dining, the Paris room is definitely better than the London dining room. Food was good, but again, no major changes to the daily menu in the formal dining rooms.Our cabin steward, Inga, was excellant and we couldn't have asked for better service. The service she provided to us was better than any hotel and it was definitely "first class."Richard, the golf pro, was great and gave us suggests to improve our game. Golf was expensive in Cozumel, but worth it to those who love the game.Overall, we had a great time on each island and Carnival can be a great vacation for people who enjoy cruising.
