Carnival Glory
Sail date: May 24, 2011
My husband and I previously did a royal caribbean cruise and loved it. WE decided to take our son this time and went on carnival. While carnival has alot for kids i would not go on one again. When we were on Royal Caribbean the food was way better. Every night in the casual eating area they had a different theme such as italian or mexican and the food was really good. Breakfast and lunch was also way better in the casual dining area. There were never huge cafeteria lines like there were on carnival. The way royal caribbean has the food set up is in big circles or squares that you don't have to get in a line to get the food. Now the dining room did have very good food, no complaints about that.
Then there was the disembarkation. Those who got their luggage ready the night before and had it outside there cabin were basically punished and the last to leave the ship. it wouldn't have been that bad if they didn't make us leave our state room to go wait for three hours on an upper deck. When we went on royal caribbean it was nothging like this. we got off very quickly. A friend once told me that carnival is like kmart and royal carribean like macy's. now i know why.
