Worst cruise to date

let me start by saying I love to cruise and we have used carnival 2 times in the past before this trip. This cruise ship was not the best in the fleet. The food was below expectations, except for the crab cake slides from the seafood place that you have to pay extra for. I go on vacation and expect to have food that I can't make or don't have time to make at home or make better myself at home. There was hair in the shower drain from the cruisers before us and maybe even before them! I don't know how long it had been there to be honest. I stuck in my finger in wads of gum that was under the bar in the buffet line. I lost a super expensive pair of sunglasses before we even left port and when I asked to make an announcement and I would offer a reward they told me they can't make announcements unless it's an emergency! I would say a $250 pair of brand new pair of  Maui Jim sunglasses is a bit of an urgency. I got sick from the fruit and cheese platter that we paid $26 for in our room. I couldn't leave my cabin all Friday night. Our excursion for Saturday got cancelled due to being too windy. The saving grace on this cruise was the ship director matey, he was entertaining and all the things we attended that he hosted were funny and lots of fun. All in all this ship needs a huge make over.
