Carnival Miracle

April 2015 - Carnival Miracle to Mexico

Heartkrazy's Tips

Grand Turk Island - Another day in paradise!! From start to finish we thoroughly enjoyed our day!! We did a snorkel, stingray & conch excursion which was a lot of fun - if it hadn't been so windy we would have been able to dive for our own conch! The conch ceviche & rum punch were fantastic!! Ended our day at Margaritaville enjoying Pina Coladas!
San Juan, Puerto Rico - Gorgeous city rich in history. Took a 2 hr bus tour that was offered as soon as we exited the port, so glad we did! We visited new San Juan & Old San Juan, the Avenue of the Presidents, the dignitary cemetery & drove by both forts. Had the option of being returned to port or dropped at smaller Fort, we chose the later. $5 entrance into San Cristobal where we spent a hour plus walking the grounds & speaking with the park rangers. After that we walked down to the plaza where there was a local craft fair going on. Bought a few souvenirs & then headed across the street to Cafe Puerto Rico for an authentic Puerto Rican lunch - Mofongo & Medalla Cerveza and Pina Coladas!! Definitely want to go back some day to visit El Morro & explore the rain forest!
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas - Beautiful island! Spent the day zip lining & shopping. If you are looking for great deals, go to Havensight Mall right by cruise ships, for lunch try the Fat Turtle (10 min walk from Havensight by other shops). Extreme Tree Limin' was the best zip line experience I've ever had!
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island) - Heaven on Earth has been found!! By far the most beautiful beach & water I've ever seen!! Rented Cabana # 11, best decision ever!! Nice to have our own snorkeling equipment, water floats, sodas & water, chips, fruits & veggies and two padded lounge chairs for those naps that we decided to take. Hope to make the journey back to Half Moon Cay again someday!
