Recommendation: Yes and No.
Yes, because NCL America has the best itinerary of any cruise line serving Hawaii. You'll see more with NCL America than any other line
No................if you expect above average service and good food it's not going to happen on this ship. (Exceptions to the aforementioned of course)
NCL America's problems lie in the fact that they are crewed by Americans. Why? Because they belong to a union and are paid much more then their international crews. Good you say; but wait........in order to stay competitive in pricing NCL America has had to cut back in services such as midnight and chocolate buffets. Poolside entertainment after 9PM. Understaffed dining rooms, et al. I predict once the cruise lines get the restriction of having to visit a foreign port removed the American crews will be laid off. Already NCL American is moving one ship to the European market in January. More to come I suspect. Poor service is not going to cut it for long.
