Having cruised over the past 25 years more than 60 times, on several different cruise lines,I was not impressed with this cruise. The Carnival Dream without a doubt was a beautiful ship, but that was about all that was going for it. As for the crew, other than our room steward and the art auction staff, the staff, most importantly the food servers, acted like they didn't want to be there. At times, they were just unfriendly. As for the food, it was horrible. Our cabin was directly over the Encore Lounge where the evening show occurred. So from 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm we might have well been in the lounge itself. Plus the cabin next to us was so loud that we could hear the tv in our room, and when we complained, we were told there was no one in that cabin. The only redeeming factor of this cruise was we have a wonderful cabin steward. He was great, both him and his assistant. Also the art auction staff was great. They were friendly, called us by name each time they saw us. If you go on this cruise, avail yourself of the art auction. This wasn't the worst, but it ranked right up there, only because of the attitudes of the service people. I just chalked it up to being a Carnival cruise.
