August 2016 - Norwegian Sky to Caribbean - Bahamas
The 4 day cruise started off just fine. Food was good, drinks were good and service was good. The first night we noticed that when we flushed the toilet, water would come up from the shower, and when we showered the water didn't drain so it leaked out onto the carpet. By day 2 the problem was finally fixed. Day 3 we noticed the carpet was soaked again. After a THIRD call to maintenance, they determined the AC was leaking. We needed to leave the room so they can fix it and dry it. The blowers were in our room all day! The smell of mildewed musty air was disgusting!!! Luckily it was our last night and we were one of the first ones to debark the next morning. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. Our eyes were burning, and my husband my husband ended up with a respiratory infection. While On board, they apologized with a fruit platter. We wrote a letter and are still going back and forth with them. By the way - we provided pictures and medical records. We aren't scammers looking for a free cruise. Their idea of making things right is giving us a $150 per person credit for a future sailing. No refund (not that expected a full refund, but at least maybe the deposit ???). Why would I want a credit for future sailing? I have to pay them to sail with them again? That's insane!! Had they offered at least a partial credit, I would maybe sail NCL again and give them a chance. Now after their lack of consideration, it's not worth the risk.
