Mariner of the Seas
Sail date: April 27, 2008
This was our first cruise so we have no real comparison, but everything was really comfortable and accessible. We never had to wait in long lines, even going through immigration took only about 15 minutes. The horror stories we had heard about lines to get off at ports absolutely were not on this ship--we never waited more than about 5 minutes. The dining experience was maybe not all we expected, it would be nice if the wait staff spoke a little better english. We also took the "First-time cruisers" class on the first night, it was a great way to get to know the ship and have some of the basic questions answered. One of the most fun things that we ended up doing nearly every night on our way to dinner was the "Name that Tune" game in the piano bar. (Sometimes the little things are what makes it.) Overall, I would recommend this ship to anyone and everyone. There was plenty to do for every age group, and the shows were fantastic.
