November 2015 - Carnival Conquest to Caribbean - Eastern
Embarking and Disembarking process was very organized and quick. Did not like the location of our cabin as it was located directly over one of the entertainment lounges which brought booming music, loud talk and crowd noise nightly into the wee hours of the morning. I rate the ship's decor as average. The sanitation in public areas was fine but in some interior corridors there was a funky odor possibly due to prior plumbing issues. We went to three comedy shows and none were really funny. The performers in the show lounge were terrific but the productions themselves were lacking; not nearly as good as on other Carnival ships. The food was average but kudos goes to "Guy's Hamburgers" for great burgers, fries and toppings. Ate daily breakfast on Lido deck buffet but there were no bananas and only skim milk available after 4th day, Cruise staff were great and organized each activity as planned. Staff and crew were very friendly. Port off-and-on procedures went smoothly. They should really delete San Juan from itinerary as arrival was at 9 AM and had to return to ship by 1:30 for 2 PM departure; possibly to give extra time in St. Maarten. We enjoyed listening and dancing to the music of the lounge bands. In summary, the Conquest was fine in some areas, disappointing in others.
