How to make "Good", "Excellent"
We enjoyed our cruise appreciating the service, cleanliness and food offerings. A few details left us wishing things could be different.
1. The lack of participation in the suggested dress codes by some guests took away from the intended elegance of the evenings. Indeed, some guests seemed to spend the whole cruise in tee shirts, swim shorts and flip flops. Perhaps they ate their dinners in the"Windjammer"?
2. Seating 10 to a table makes eye contact and conversation difficult. The last time we cruised on this boat we were seated on a 6 top and this made an enormous difference to our dining experience which we regard as a major part of our cruise.
3. Having a line for "additional gratuity" over and above the already billed "18% S/C comes across as "raising an expectation" rather than a "convenience". Frankly, 18% for an "over the counter drink" seems a bit heavy as it is. For the excellent service we received at the Champagne Lounge, Portafino and Chops Grill, we were only too pleased to reward your great staff accordingly.
Hope we don't come across as gripers. We enjoy cruising but these points are what will stop us doing it again and we hope you will consider these intended constructive ideas.
