Celebrity Infinity

November 2014 - Celebrity Infinity to Panama Canal, Central America

Good Stuff, Bad Stuff

Our room and dining staffs were excellent!  Food choices were average. Select Dining is a nice option so you can choose your dinner time if 6:00 seems too early and 8:30 too late.  Not enough amenities for Elite Plus.  We've so enjoyed Michael's Club on past cruises--now it is "saved" for suites and it was empty 90% of the time.  Perhaps a daily block of time for Elite and higher so the space it is better utilized.  There is a small casual cafe that has a $7.00 cover charge--another opportunity to make money.  We did enjoy the Captain's Club Hostess, Alexandra, who was professional, helpful and very friendly.  The ports were the usual. BTW, while we stayed healthy, our traveling companions both became very ill and the second week, cruise cough was prevalent.  It beats me with the low price of fuel why overall costs weren't lower!  We've done the Panama Canal four times, but we would not take this cruise on the Infinity again.

CruiseLoving's Tips

Celebrity Infinity Celebrity Infinity - Enjoy smaller ships (up to 2,000) best. Staff cleaning of common areas not as visible as in past. Inconsistent A/C and table clean-up in cafeteria dining room. Organic hand cleaners would be better; not keen on rubbing toxins on skin, with harmful ingredients being rubbed directly into bloodstream.
